The fine print
Privacy Notice
Written by Dani and Alex for the guests of the Big Gig — plain language, no legal theatre.
Who this is
This site is run privately by Dani and Alex for their wedding on 15 May 2027 at The Cargo Shed, Tauranga. It is not a business, and none of the information here is used for marketing.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us:
- RSVP details — your name, email, attendance, dietary needs, allergies, song request and any message.
- Pamper afternoon RSVPs, where relevant.
- Messages you send through the contact form.
- Photos you upload to the shared album, along with any caption or name you add.
- Anonymous votes and appeals in the light-hearted Who's Who section.
How we use it
To plan the day: seating, catering numbers, dietary requirements, the playlist, and the occasional email update about the event. That's it. We don't sell or share your details with anyone outside the people helping us run the wedding.
Cookies and browser storage
There is no advertising or cross-site tracking on this site. We store a small amount of information in your browser so it works properly — for example remembering your consent choice, keeping you signed in if you are one of the planners, and remembering that you've already voted so you aren't asked twice.
Choosing Essential only in the notice keeps this to the minimum needed for the site to function. You can clear it any time by clearing site data in your browser.
Where it lives
Guest details, RSVPs and uploaded photos are stored in the site's private database and file storage, accessible only to Dani and Alex and the people helping them plan. Photos you upload are reviewed before they appear in the shared album.
Changing or removing your details
Ask us and we'll fix or delete it. Updating an RSVP by email requires a confirmation link sent to that address, so nobody else can change your answers. Everything is deleted once the wedding and its photo sharing have wrapped up.
The easiest way to reach us is the contact page.
